Dysport

Dysport is a new alternative to Botox. Approved by the FDA in the United States in July of 2009, Dysport has been used in Europe since the early 1990’s and has had over 2 million users. While effects of Dysport may appear faster and are reported to be longer lasting, the differences between these paralytics are minor, so please feel free discuss the options with your practitioner to decide which one is right for you

Price: $4.50/Unit (standard application begins at 50 units)

If you are suffering from Hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) we offer Dysport treatments for this area as well. Precise injections dramatically lessen underarm moisture for up to a full year.

Before & After Your Treatment

Prevent possible bruising or swelling by taking care to avoid anti-inflammatory drugs (Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Vioxx, etc.), aspirin, Vitamin E, or Ginko Biloba one week prior to treatment.

The ingestion of alcoholic beverages prior to treatment can increase the chances of bruising.

If you tend to bruise easily, Nurse Jamie recommends you take the homeopathic remedy arnica, which is available at most natural food and drug stores. It is available in oral form prior to your treatment and may be applied topically after.

Please bring support hosiery to wear home from your appointment to "compress" the treated vessels.  Please wear them for three days following treatment. Nurse Jamie recommends cutting the feet off of regular drug store support hose for comfort.  Full effects of sclerotherapy usually take effect within 3 - 6 weeks.
